Thanks so much for your kind comments, everyone. Velvet, I put a honeycomb grid over the keylight, which allowed me to put the spotlight right on the flowers/pitcher without creating hot spots. GenoCid, putting stronger light on the flowers on the table would have worked, too... the reason I didn't is because they're only there to balance the composition; I wanted to keep the attention on the flowers in the pitcher.

Wow! The composition and treatment are so classical, like other people have said; undoubtely you`ve had some old masters in mind!

it looks like a puzzle i once did. i saw this and thought oil right away. i don't know. it seems like it should be an oil painting. it's very wonderful. the lighting is nice, and i like that the flowers on the table aren't spotlighted...it's good not to have everything POP sometimes.
