The colors you see are very saturated due to the film I used (Fuji Provia 100) and the sRGB color profile; however, this is pretty close to what I actually saw. Yes, the spot really was that purple! The only photoshop work involved correcting curves and changing the ICC profile; no other postwork was done.

Shot at close range with a Canon EOS 3, Fuji Provia 100, 100mm macro lens. Macro lenses have very shallow depth-of-field, which means when you're very close to something, only a small amount of the image will be in focus.

This is so well done! The reflection in the waterdrop he's sitting in is so beautiful...the focus is perfect and "crystalclear"...out of words. This piece is really a treat for the eyes.

the colours are amazing....but i think they distract from the frog himself. that may just be me...but my eyes jump everywhere when i look at it. other than that...it's wonderful. i wish i had a macro lense...
